April 10, was the off-payroll date for all of those that volunteered for the last EIPP package. Our Local lost two (2) members. There have been many members questioning whether there will be another offer before our contract expires. The Union has gotten no information on this matter from Verizon.
Business Manager Mary Jo Arcuri, the Unit Chairs, officers and I have been conducting nominations during the April Unit meetings. Once this is complete you should receive your ballots in May with everyone who accepted a nomination.
We always ask our members to refrain from acting, especially now during a contract year. We really need all those that have taken acting positions to step down. In Unity, we need our members to step down from any acting positions.
